The Grassroot Project needs YOU!
Currently, The Grassroot Project is run and managed by a team of committed volunteers. In order to effectively grow and sustain the program, including covering expenses related to material development, trainers’ courses, and coaches’ guides and kits, TGP is looking for supporters who can financially assist an innovative young organization with the potential to change lives in a much needed way.
Support from individuals like you helps us reach out to local at-risk kids and educate them about HIV/AIDS prevention. With the leadership of college athletes, the kids are given an opportunity to discuss and learn about a topic that is too often neglected.
The Grassroot Project is part of Athletes United for Social Justice. All donations are tax-deductible and are processed through secure PayPal transactions.
Donations will help to:
- Directly benefit at-risk youth in DC
- Train new TGP Coaches
- Cover the cost of materials needed for the program (ex: sports equipment, coaches’ guides, and transportation)
- Organize community HIV/AIDS prevention awareness activities
- Provide at-risk kids with a safe and comfortable atmosphere to learn and discuss the importance of a healthy lifestyle
