Simone Counts is from Princeton, New Jersey and is currently a junior at Howard University pursuing a B.S. in Healthcare Management. Also known as “Simonce,” Simone is a member of the track and field and cross country team at Howard University. Simone is constantly seeking a challenging position in an organization that fosters growth and development where she can use her educational background, leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills to make an immediate contribution to an innovative and progressive organization, such as The Grassroots Project. As an athlete, she has a strong passion for helping others lead a healthier lifestyle and serving her community. She believes it is crucial that we spread sexual health education, especially through the use of sports, to our youth because they are the future leaders. Simone plans on earning her Master’s in Public Health post-graduation and plans also working in a managerial role as well as being a leader in the healthcare field.
